Weddings in Attleborough and surrounds will be the focus of an upcoming presentation planned by the market town's heritage group.

And the group has put out an appeal for help putting together a display for the October 28 event, which will also commemorate the platinum wedding anniversary of the Queen and Prince Philip on November 20.

Christine Williams, from the group, said: 'Please look in your wardrobes and attics for your wedding dress and photographs that you would be willing to loan to add to our display.

'Or, if you have a dressmaker's dummy or shop mannequin to lend for the occasion, we would be very grateful.'

The display, at Attleborough's St Mary's Church, will run all day, followed by a talk on the history of marriage, what fashion-conscious brides have worn throughout the ages. Call 01953 456143 for more.
