After a chilly start to today temperatures are set to rise throughout this week.
While the county was waking up today to temperatures of between -2 and zero degrees Celsius, towards the end of the week temperatures are set to be back in double figures.
“It’s going to be dry with sunny spells today,” said Phil Garner, a forecaster at UEA-based Weatherquest.
“There may be some odd icy patches but roads and pavements are mainly dry.”
He said temperatures at best today would reach four degress Celsius because the county was still feeling the residue of the strong winds that caused temperatures to drop below freezing throughout the weekend.
However he said the mercury was due to rise at the week progresses.
Tomorrow is likely to be a little more cloudy with the chance of some rain but temperatures are set to reach 8 degrees Celsius.
“Winds will slowly be coming round more westerly as we go through the week. By Thursday we will be back in double figures, as high as 12 degrees Celsius.”
