Sledges were in high demand as young and old alike looked for ways to have fun in the snow.

Steve Kerrison, owner of Kerrisons Toys on Aylsham Road in Norwich said: “When the snow comes, sledges start selling.

“We’re still selling them and we hope to sell more as more snow is forecast over the next few days.

“We haven’t had this much snow for a few years so it’s nice to be able to sell sledges.”

Miriam Devlin, at Thorns DIY, in Exchange Street in Norwich, said: “We’ve sold a few sledges already today.

“Some people came in to buy one yesterday, but the majority of sledge purchases have been today. We still have quite a few left and we’re hoping to sell more sledges throughout the week if the snow continues.”
