One Sheringham road remains closed tonight following torrential rain which caused major disruption across the town.

Norfolk Police reported that three sinkholes opened up across the town, but it appears that only one road suffered lasting damage as the water cleared.

Police said that a sinkhole opened up on Cromer Road causing flooding around Tesco and the fire station.

Tesco superstore on Cromer Road closed just after 11am. Tesco is yet to confirm whether the store will reopen on Monday, August 16.
