Commuters were treated to a rare sight in Norfolk this morning as a rainbow appeared over the county.

Photos posted on social media show a vivid rainbow over Norwich and Norfolk, which was followed by a glowing orange sunrise.

Forecasters have warned the pleasant start to the morning will soon make way for strong winds later today.

Norwich-based forecaster Weatherquest said North Norfolk could see winds reach 50mph.

Gusts are expected to peak between 2pm and 4pm.
