Flood warnings in place around coast due to high tide

Flood warnings are in place around the North Norfolk coast due to high tides.
The government’s flood warning information service says flooding is expected from East Cley to Kelling hard, including Salthouse.
Tides are expected to be higher than usual due to strong winds and rain.

Communities are being warned of minor flooding on coastal roads and footpaths between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, today (May 10).
The flood warning states: “We expect to see water on Beach Road at Cley, and Beach Road at Salthouse, and footpaths in the marshes may also become inaccessible.
“Take care on coastal roads and footpaths and don’t put yourself in unnecessary danger.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and are likely to reissue this message for tomorrow morning’s tide at 09.00am Monday, May 11, later this evening.”
