Drivers are being warned to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary as treacherous weather conditions continue across the region.

The A140 is currently reported to be impassable and there are issues on roads across the county.

Norfolk Police have tweeted: 'Stay home unless your journey is absolutely necessary so the roads are clearer for officers to reach those who need our assistance. If you have to leave your vehicle? Please ensure it's left in a safe position and doesn't cause any obstructions.

Meanwhile heavy snow is also said to have forced Norwich International Airport to close.

Greater Anglia has tweeted: 'Due to severe weather, services running across the whole GA network may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised. Some stations after London Liverpool Street will not be served. Disruption is expected until further notice.'

Sanders Coaches has also said that all Sanders services are suspended including school buses.
