A digger clearing a Norfolk road became caught in a snow drift.

Norfolk County Council have shared footage of a digger, which became caught in a snow drift while clearing a road, to remind people not to drive unless absolutely necessary.

The video was captured on the B1332 between Brooke and Poringland.

The post on Facebook alongside the video, said: “This is what many of our excavators and ploughs are facing - this video was taken earlier this morning on the B1332 between Brooke and Poringland. Evidence if you needed it not to risk travelling unless you absolutely have to!”

Forecasters are predicting that parts of Norfolk and Waveney could see more snow today as the Beast from the East rumbles on.

Norfolk Constabulary last night urged workers to arrange to work from home or not go into work if possible, with forecasters warning the country “is not out of the woods yet”.
