Norfolk and Suffolk has been enjoying another day of warm sunshine but isolated thunderstorms this evening will see temperatures drop.
Santon Downham and Marham are expected to see highs of 27C today with the north Norfolk coast also seeing warmer conditions than yesterday thanks to a south westerly breeze.
But cooler conditions are on the way, although it is expected to remain mainly dry throughout the week.
'There will be some isolated thunderstorms between 5pm and 8pm this evening before it turns a little bit cooler for the rest of the week,' said Dan Holley from Norwich-based Weatherquest. 'Tomorrow there will be highs of 19C or 20C, which is still above average, and temperatures on Thursday will reach 16C or 17C.
'There will be a chance of showers Wednesday night into Thursday but the amount of rain will be low and many places will be dry and sunny.'
He added there is also a chance of showers moving towards the weekend.
Bank Holiday Monday was officially the hottest on record with highs of 26C in Norfolk and Suffolk.
The region's tourist attractions, parks and beaches saw bumper numbers out enjoying the best of the sunny weather.
In Suffolk, people travelled to the seafront in Lowestoft to make the most of the sun.
Tony Levett, manager at the South Pier Family Entertainment Centre, said: 'For some years we haven't had the good weather on the bank holiday so you don't get the same volume of people.
'The weather has definitely helped this weekend. The weather is vital for us, If it's cold or wet you don't have the same amount of people walking along the promenade and sea front.'
In Norfolk, popular attractions also benefitted. Martin Dupee, director of operations at Banham Zoo and Africa Alive, said it was the best Early May Day bank holiday he had seen in 15 years.
'It's fantastic. The animals are acclimatised and are reacting accordingly, the sea lions are our newest acquisition and guests are loving them, they look great.'
