Residents at Oulton Broad were met with an extraordinary sight, all thanks to the weather.

Freezing temperatures last night caused parts of the broads to freeze totally over, causing confusion for any ducks looking for a swim or any brave sailors.

The ice on the surface has since melted, allowing animals and humans alike to navigate the waters again.

Temperatures dropped well below zero over night, leading to ice forming on pavements and roads and causing severe travel disruption to add to the problems on Wednesday.

It's a sight that could be seen again over the weekend after the Met Office issued a yellow warning for ice across the East of England on Friday and Saturday.

Bus and train services remain affected with delays and cancellations across most services. Police are also warning drivers to be extra careful due to the icy temperatures.
