Norfolk's record breaking summer, has continued into Autumn but today could be the last of the blue skies and sunshine as things are set to turn cloudier, windier and a lot wetter.

Norfolk has enjoyed highs of 22.7C today, just 1.1 degree below the UK high of 23.8C which was reported in Gravesend, Kent.

Highs of 23.2C were recorded in Bedford, 22.9C in Wittering and 22.8C in Santon Downham

While the warm temperatures are set to continue over the next couple of days the sunshine will disappear giving way to rain overnight on Thursday and Friday into Saturday.

Fred Best, from Norwich based forecaster Weatherquest said: 'Tomorrow will be a bit cloudier with risks of a few showers early on in the morning. It will be a bit brighter during the middle of the day but then late afternoon and overnight there will be a front moving across Britain.'

He said not all of the region will see rain but the majority would wake up to blustery conditions on Friday and highs of 21-22C.

Temperatures will remain balmy on Saturday with highs of 23-24C but will be accompanied by more wet and windy weather as the region catches the edge of storm Callum which will be moving east across the country.
