Neighbours evacuated from homes’ after bungalow blaze

A neighbour has described the moment she was woken in the early hours of the morning by fireman after an adjacent bungalow caught fire.
Crews from Watton, Hingham, Dereham, East Harling and an aerial ladder from King's Lynn were called to Hamilton Close, Watton at 1.14am on Monday, August 19.
A woman at the bungalow, believed to be in her 60s, was able to escape the blaze before the emergency services arrived.

The neighbour said she was woken by firefighters banging on her door and was forced to leave her home as they dealt with the blaze.
She sought shelter in another house on the estate until crews allowed her to return to her home.
Firefighters left the incident at 3.12am with officers from Norfolk Police also in attendance.
Another resident said she slept through the commotion but her partner said it had been "quite scary".
A spokesman for the fire service said there were no injuries and "no suggestion" the fire had been deliberately started.
