A city road will remain closed until Wednesday as repairs are carried out following a burst water main.
The leak on Waterloo Road last Thursday has washed away soil beneath the road, leading to part of the road subsiding at the weekend.
The road is closed between the junctions with Magpie Road and Starling Road while Anglian Water repairs the leak and begins resurfacing work on the road.
Spokesman Antony Innes said the road had been closed for safety reasons, as engineers assessed the extent of the damage.
