Watch out for a giant boat causing delays on Norfolk roads today

Motorists are advised to expect delays on Norfolk roads on Thursday, April 27 as an abnormal load is moved through the county.

The load, a 5.4m wide, 27.4m long and 5m high boat, weighing a whopping 38,000kg will be transported with a police escort from Bridgland Moulders, Rectory Road, Ashmanaugh to Landamores, Tunstead Road in Hoveton.

The boat is scheduled to leave Ashmanaugh at 11am.

Its route of travel will include Rectory Road, School Road, the A1151, Horning Road West, Tunstead Road, and various other local roads to the site.

Norfolk Police say delays can be expected in all of these areas.
