A Norfolk business is issuing a warning after finding something worrying on Great Yarmouth beach.
On Saturday, April 21 a team from Norwich-based Baobab Marketing Agency took part in the #2minbeachclean scheme that has become popular on social media.
The scheme asks people to take two minutes out of their day to pick up litter and share it via an app.
During their clean, the team found plenty of rubbish to collect - but were horrified to find a used syringe and needle.
Caron Lemmer, from Baobab, said: 'Over the weekend my new business decided to be part of the #2minbeachclean so we went to Great Yarmouth beach to pick up some litter.
'I expected to find the usual beer cans, cigarette butts and plastic bags but never did I expect to find a used syringe and needle.
'With summer on its way, we must warn beach goers to be careful and scout the sandy area where they will be sitting, prior to walking barefoot or letting their kids build sand castles.'
She added: 'Needles in sand aren't easily seen, this was an eye opening experience.'
