While most jobs have their perks, one rare opportunity has arisen to live like a lord.
Holkham Hall estate is looking for an assistant live-in hall manager to help look after the day-to-day running, security and administration of the 18th century Palladian-style mansion.
The successful applicant will live at the Grade I-listed historic house, which is set in a 3,000 acre deer park and home to Viscount Tom Coke.
Their role will see them be part of a small team which looks after the needs of Lord Coke and his family, providing a 24-hour, in-house response to security and fire situations and implementing a health and safety policy for the stately home.
According to the job advertisement, the successful applicant is likely to be someone with a security, fire or armed forces background able to demonstrate previous involvement in security or fire procedures.
It says: 'To enable the successful applicant to better manage their security duties this is a live in role and a staff flat within the hall is provided for this purpose.'
Candidates will need to have a full UK driving licence, and a first aid qualification or the willingness to attend an appropriate training course would 'strengthen' their application.
The job entails an amount of manual handling and lifting and a good head for heights is required. A criminal records bureau (CRB) check will be undertaken before an appointment is confirmed.
The closing date for applications is Friday, October 3.
