Volunteers being urged to help set up parkrun event in North Norfolk

Volunteers are being urged to come forward to help set up a parkrun event in north Norfolk.

Active Norfolk and North Norfolk District Council are looking to bring the free activity to the area after the success of Active Norfolk's Norwich parkrun at Eaton Park.

The event would take place every Saturday at 9am and would be a timed 5k run, community owned and run by volunteers.

It will be open to everyone regardless of age or ability and will see individuals trying to beat their own times each week.

Active Norfolk was launched in 2006 and is one of the County Sports Partnerships created by Sport England. It is funded mainly by Sport England but also receives funding and support from Norfolk County Council and all the local authorities.

? If you could volunteer four hours a month and are interested in becoming part of the a team to set up a north Norfolk parkrun then please call Nick Clarke on 01603 732333 or email nick.clarke@activenorfolk.org.
