A shop worker was threatened by three men carrying thick pieces of wood in the latest in a spate of robberies in west Norfolk.

The incident happened at about 8.20pm yesterday at the Mace shop, in St Leonards Street, Mundford, near Thetford.

The three men entered the store just before closing time and told a female member of staff to lock the front door.

They then went to the shop counter and stole a quantity of cash from the till as well as cigarettes. No-one was hurt in the incident.

The three offenders all had hoods up over their heads, wore scarves over their faces with white dust masks, as well as gloves on their hands.

When leaving they took the front door key and made off out of a back door to a vehicle.

Anyone with information about a vehicle used in the robbery or who witnessed suspicious activity prior to or after the incident should contact police.
