Simon Wright, MP for Norwich South, pictured right, rose to the challenge set by one of his constituents and took part in a blindfold walk through Norwich city centre.
Keith Sadler, a Norwich resident and Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) campaigner, wanted him to get a better idea of the experiences and difficulties that face the visually impaired.
Mr Sadler is partially blind and walks with a guide dog. He said: 'It's really good he is doing it. He will realise how tiring it can be walking around the city'.
Mr Wright was guided by Emily Papaleo, RNIB regional campaigns officer through Chapelfield shopping centre and towards Norwich Market.
