Little Blake Barley from Dereham has taken his first steps completely unaided after the success of his life-changing surgery in the USA.
Within hours of the operation, made possible after an appeal by our sister paper the Dereham Times which helped raise more than �75,000, he had a greater range of movement in his feet, and he was up and out of bed just a few days later.
After weeks of intensive physiotherapy, the three-year-old is coming on in leaps and bounds - much to the delight of his parents Luke and Debbie.
