VIDEO: Blakeney school children praise Queen in special song

School children have sung their praise for the Queen on a special CD which they are set to present to the Monarch.

The pupils at Blakeney Church of England Primary School have recorded a CD, 'A Song For The Queen'.

The first public, live performance of the song, which has the chorus 'May God's light shine like a beacon upon our gracious Queen as we join in songs of praises on Blakeney's Pastures green ...' will be given by the boys and girls and a supporting choir during a songs of praise event marking the jubilee on Blakeney Pastures on Sunday which starts at 4pm.

The CD will then be sent to the monarch after the extended bank holiday weekend.

The song has been written specially for the school by former teacher Patricia Alexander, who came to live in Blakeney full time last year and is a church organist in Blakeney and Cley. She has been rehearsing the children, aged from five to 11, since the beginning of May and says she is delighted by their response to her composition.
