A pair of owls is a rare sight but a wildlife spotter caught six on a tree at Oxburgh Hall near Swaffham.

Tim Peers, once a garden volunteer at the hall caught the amazing footage of six barn owls peeking through gaps in a tree.

Adult owls are said to be extremely territorial, so Peers is of the belief that the birds are family.

He said: 'There are two adults and four kids in the video, but in a different video we have caught there is a baby owl who we also think is part of the family.

'The owl population suffered due to the bad weather last year in Norfolk and Suffolk which decimated the mouse population therefore affecting the number of barn owls.

'We've had the camera up for five weeks because we spotted owl activity in the area, but we didn't know the extent of just quite how many so it is an incredible site.

'Oxburgh Hall is a great place for wildlife but to see a cluster of six owls together is something incredibly rare.'
