The A146 at Thurton has been reopened after a crash between a Volvo S80 and Renault Clio closed the road in both directions.
The crash happened shortly before 9am, but the vehicles were recovered shortly after 11am, and the road is now reopened.
The road, which is used by those travelling between the Lowestoft, Beccles and Loddon areas and Norwich, had been closed in both directions, with diversions set up.
A police spokesman said one person had to be freed from one of the vehicles.
