A 22-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Honington, near Thetford has been released on bail.
Police were called to a home in Poplar Close on RAF Honington just after 1.50am on Wednesday morning after screaming was heard from inside.
The 23-year-old man was found collapsed outside the property with serious wounds to his body. He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The woman from the Bury St Edmunds area was questioned at Bury St Edmunds Police Station and has been bailed and must return on March 23.
A spokeswoman for RAF Honington confirmed the stabbing had taken place on the base and added: 'The civil police are dealing with et investigation so it would be innapropriate to make any further comment at this time.'
