Hundreds of homes left without water after a pipe burst this morning have had their supplies restored.

Residents in Trimingham and parts of neighbouring Mundesley were left without a supply or with low water pressure after the PVC pipe burst at around 7am.

Engineers from Anglian Water were soon on site and had to dig down to the pipe to establish how badly it had been damaged. They also 're-zoned' supplies to reconnect the majority of affected homes while they worked.

Water was restored to all 400 affected homes by around midday and engineers remained on site until 1.45pm completing the repairs.
