A SPECIALIST diving team from Thames Valley Police have joined the search this morning for a 72-year-old who went missing in Beccles earlier this week.
Suffolk Police were alerted on Tuesday afternoon, after Alan Thomas's bag was found on Beccles Marshes. Since then officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries and searches to try and trace him.
Suffolk have asked Thames Valley to assist with searches in the area of Beccles Yacht Club, near where Mr Thomas's bag was found, and are renewing appeals for anyone who may have seen him to come forward.
Mr Thomas is described as white, around 6ft tall, of medium build and wearing glasses.
• Anyone who may have seen him since 10am on Tuesday or anyone who may have information about where he is now is asked to call the duty sergeant at Lowestoft Police Station on 101.
