A Norfolk-only drinks list and some generous barrel sponsors helped Aylsham Round Table double its profits at its annual beer festival at the weekend.
The two-day event - on Friday evening and all day Saturday - raised 4,000 for local charities and drew a two-day crowd of more than 600 people.
Despite numbers being hit on the first evening by the Norwich City v Nottingham Forest match on Sky Sports, sunshine and the lure of 36 Norfolk ales and 11 Norfolk ciders saw The Old Cinema on Cawston Road packed out on Saturday.
Round Table chairman James Marks said: 'The 4,000 total is double our profits from last year. I'd like to say a big thankyou to the sponsors and to all the people who turned out.
'I think having just Norfolk ales was a key thing. People really liked that.'
Brewers included Woodforde's of Woodbastwick, the newly-formed Panther from Reepham and Yetman's from Holt.
