A serious traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle has closed the A143 in Haddiscoe Marshes in both directions and left one of the people involved hospitalised.

An air ambulance was called to the scene and the motorcycle rider was unconscious when paramedics arrived on the scene, although the man has since regained consciousness.

He has now been airlifted to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and is thought to have a badly broken leg, cuts to his face and a broken arm.

The A143 is closed between Low Road in Haddiscoe and Station Road in St Olaves because of the crash, which has also left three walking wounded who have been checked over by ambulance staff.
