A 20-year-old cyclist seriously injured in a crash on Friday remains in hospital, but her condition is no longer thought to be life threatening.
The woman was involved in a crash with a blue Volkswagon Bora car at the junction of Mousehold Lane with Gurney Road and Salhouse Lane at 8.20am on Friday. She was flown to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with serious head injuries, and treated at the hospital's intensive care unit. No details of the woman have been released. However friends posting on the social networking site Twitter said that doctor's are hopeful that the woman will be out of intensive care soon and the results of brain scans had been positive.
The driver and passenger of the Volkswagon were believed to be heading to work at the St Andrews Business Park. Anyone with information should contact PC Bob Connor at Wymondham Road Policing on 0845 456 4567.
