A torrential storm caused flooding all over the Great Yarmouth area yesterday evening.
Blake Road, in Yarmouth became flooded when drains couldn't cope with the heavy downpours which lasted more than an hour in fits and starts, said Abbie Bunnewell.
And Marilyn Jordan sent three pictures of Lawn Avenue. She said: 'Once more a sudden downpour has caused chaos and flooding to Harley Road and Lawn Avenue. What happened to the super new pumps Anglian Water are supposed to have installed and the holding tank for all the excess water. Fed up!'
Mark Simmonds sent a picture of the flooding on Hawkins Close in Yarmouth; and Sam Osborne said: 'Blake Road wasn't the only one hit by storm floods. We were about an inch off having the water enter our house on Stone Road.'
'The council have visited the drain here numerous times over the five years I've lived here and yet it never manages to drain away even the tiniest amount of rain. It was actually scary today and we took to moving things off the floor just in case before the storm finally eased.'
