A man has been taken to hospital after being rescued from the river in Norwich this morning.
Fire crews from Sprowston and Carrow and the rescue boat from Carrow were called to reports of a person in the river at Cow Tower, near Bishopgate, off Riverside Road at just after 7.30am.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, was stuck in the water up to his knees and was out of the water by 7.50am.
Police and ambulance crews were also in attendance.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EAAST) said they were called at 7.41am and said the patient was conscious and breathing but suffering from hypothermia and taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
