A man was cut free from a car by firefighters this afternoon, after it was involved in a collision in King's Lynn.

Emergency services were called to John Kennedy Road just before 2pm.

A silver Peugot 206 was involved in a collision with another car near the former Retreat Pub, at the junction with Hextable Road.

Police closed the road in both directions while firefighters cut the roof off the 206 and lifted out the driver.

The man was taken to hospital with what were described as minor injuries.
