UPDATE: Full North Norfolk District Council parish council results

Results are now in for the contested parish councils in the North Norfolk District Council area. Of the 122 parishes, elections were held in 11, where there were more candidates than number of seats.

Results for the contested parish councils in the North Norfolk District Council area were announced on Friday afternoon. Of the 122 parishes, elections were held in 11, where there were more candidates than number of seats.

In other parishes, those with valid nominations were elected uncontested. But in Dunton, Lessingham Pudding Norton and Salthouse no-one put themselves forward for nomination. And in Felmingham, Southrepps and Trunch, there were not enough candidates to make the council legally able to operate.

All seven will have a re-run election bid at the end of next month in the hope of finding candidates. Councils with vacant posts will be able to co-opt local people.
