A main road through south Norfolk has reopened following a two vehicle collision this morning.

The accident took place at about 8.10am on the B1113 at Wreningham, near Wymondham.

According to a police spokesman the road was cleared by 11am.

The crash had initially blocked both sides of the road but one lane was opened at about 9.30am.

Fire crews from Wymondham, Earlham and Norwich attended and used hydraulic rescue equipment to release one casualty.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said two people were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, but the extent of their injuries remains unknown.
