The fourth annual Lincoln Lecture at Wymondham College was given by Professor Sarah Churchwell, Professor of American Literature and Public Understanding of the Humanities at the University of East Anglia.
The Lincoln Lecture was inaugurated in 2008 to mark the bicentenary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln, the Golden Jubilee of Lincoln Hall at the college and the opening of the new Enid Ralphs building.
Sixth form students spent time with Professor Churchwell who talked about her research and teaching covering 20th and 21st century and contemporary American literature.
The lecture was presented in association with the Norwich and Norfolk Branch of the English Speaking Union.
