Part of the Norwich southern bypass was blocked for around 30 minutes this morning, after a crash involving two cars.

Police were called to the scene on the A47 at 10:45am, between the A140 Ipswich Road junction and Trowse Newton, blocking off one of the road's carriageways.

The carriageway was cleared at around 11.10am and police say that only minor injuries were suffered by those involved.

Sergeant Mark Shepherd, who was on the scene, later Tweeted: 'Thank you to all the motorists for their patience on the A47 earlier, as I was dealing with a non-injury RTC.'
