Two people were taken to hospital after two vehicles collided on the A47 this afternoon.

The crash happened near the junction for Sandy Lane, close to East Tuddenham, at around 1.50pm and needed two fire crews to attend to cut one of the injured free.

Three ambulances and the air ambulance attended to deal with the injuries and two were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, although an East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said the severity of the injuries were 'not yet known'.

The part of the A47 affected by the crash was clear by 4.30pm.
