Norwich City legends Paul McVeigh and Iwan Roberts will be going head-to-head during a footballing challenge at the Royal Norfolk Show – and then giving fans the chance to see if they can beat their scores.

But it has been announced that no current Canaries players or manager Paul Lambert will be at the show.

Normally there are members of the first team squad on the City stand and sign autographs and talk to supporters, who queue up in their hundreds.

However, as the Premier League season starts later this year and the players are not back for training and are still on holiday, they won't be attending.

So it will be down to McVeigh and Roberts to keep the crowds happy and they will be launching the Aviva On The Ball Challenge on the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation (CSF) stand 530.

From 10.30am on both days they will go head-to-head to see who can stay on the football rodeo the longest, after which the competition will be open to visitors of the show to beat their score and win a personalised new Norwich City FC kit.

The duo will also be available on both days from 11am-12.30pm to answer questions and sign autographs.

Aviva and CSF will be running various sport based activities free of charge for children aged from three to 14.
