Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were attacked by a gang in Swaffham.

The victims, aged 34 and 36, were walking in the Market Place when they were approached from behind, knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked in the head.

Both suffered facial injuries and needed hospital treatment after the attack.

Police believe a group of four to six men is responsible for the assault, which happened near to the Red Lion pub between 1.30am and 2am on Sunday, December 12.
