Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at an address in a Suffolk town.

Emergency services were called to the house in St John's Street, Bury St Edmunds, at 1.22am today to reports that a man had suffered injuries to his chest.

On arrival the injured man was pronounced dead and one man was arrested at the address. Another man was arrested shortly afterwards in the nearby area.

Police have now cordoned off an area around St John's Street, which includes Short Brackland and Lower Baxter Street, while searches are carried out.

The two men who were arrested, a 28 year old man and a 22 year old man, are currently being held in Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket police stations and will be questioned today.

The victim has not yet been named.
