Two men arrested in London on suspicion of Great Yarmouth man’s murder

Two men were tonight arrested on suspicion of the murder of Yarmouth man Andrew McGowan.

Two men, aged 21 and 18, were arrested in South London in a joint operation between Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team and the Metropolitan Police.

The men, both from London, were due to be held in custody overnight at separate London police stations to be brought to Norfolk tomorrow to face questioning.

Police were called to a property in Dickens Court at 10.35pm on Saturday, November 14 following reports of a disturbance.

Officers discovered Mr McGowan, 33, who died at the scene.

A Home Office post mortem examination, carried out on Tuesday, November 17 revealed he had died as result of stab wounds.

A man and woman from Yarmouth, arrested in connection with the incident, remain on police bail.
