An 18-year-old man and a 20-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice as police investigate allegations that they falsely reported a burglary.
Officers arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of burglary after taking a report that a named offender had stolen items including a television from a home in central Lowestoft on Sunday, November 10.
He was bailed to allow further inquiries to be carried out and during the course of these police discovered the incident had not been as initially reported.
The two men were arrested and interviewed before being bailed to return to officers on December 3 to allow the investigation to be completed.
