Police have arrested two men following an incident in Stalham this morning.

At 3.25am a white LDV van failed to stop for police on the A149. Officers followed the vehicle, which stopped on a dirt track.

A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft and taking a vehicle without consent, but a second man fled left the scene.

Police launched a search of the area, and this afternoon a 33-year-old man from the Great Yarmouth area was arrested on suspicion of burglary and motoring offences.

Both men are currently in custody at Aylsham Investigation Centre awaiting questioning.
