Two crashes near Norwich hit rush-hour traffic

Motorists faced delays outside Norwich this evening following two crashes on major roads.

An accident on the old A11 at Hethersett involving three cars caused tailbacks towards the south-west of the city.

The accident happened just after 5pm near the King's pub and Hethersett fire station.

And another accident involving three vehicles on Yarmouth Road, Thorpe St Andrew, to the north-east of Norwich, at about 5.35pm, also caused hold-ups.

Fire crews from Sprowston and Earlham attended the second accident, whilst a crew from Hethersett was sent to the earlier crash.
