A 28-year-old Halesworth woman and a 35-year-old man from Ipswich have been arrested on suspicion of controlled prostitution.
The arrests were made yesterday after police raided homes in St Margaret's Green, Knightsdale Road and Nelson Road in Ipswich, and one in Heath Road, Wenhaston, near Halesworth.
This was following intelligence received by Suffolk Police and the Department of Work and Pensions surrounding an escort agency.
A 35-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of rape, controlled prostitution and money laundering, while a 28-year-old woman from Halesworth has been arrested on suspicion of controlled prostitution.
Both have been bailed to return to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on Tuesday, March 5.
