Two people have been arrested after a man in his 50s was assaulted with an umbrella and a metal object in Swaffham on Saturday afternoon.
Police said a man hit the victim on the hand with an umbrella, causing swelling to two fingers, in the attack in Pleasant Row between 1.50pm and 2.10pm on Saturday June 16, before leaving.
They said he then returned with another man who produced a metal object from the glovebox of the vehicle he was in and hit the victim, causing a bump on the back of the head, bruising and swelling to the eye and a cut to his nose.
Police said the two people arrested have been bailed pending further enquires.
