A radio presenter and former East Norfolk Sixth Form College pupil is taking on three marathons in as many days for charity this week.

Claire Chambers, 25, who grew up in Lingwood but now lives near Nottingham is attempting to run 26.2 miles in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham on consecutive days starting on Wednesday.

Miss Chambers, who moved to Nottinghamshire in 2010 for university, has never run before and started her training in December last year.

She has beaten her £5,000 target and all the money raised will go towards good causes including Suffolk Young People's Health Project and Norwich-based The Hamlet, which supports children and adults with disabilities.

Miss Chambers works as a drivetime presenter on a Capital FM radio show and the worthy causes are part of Global's Make Some Noise charity. To donate visit www.everydayhero.co.uk/event/triplemarathonchallenge
