Food and drink with a festive flavour will be on sale at Norfolk's royal estate at the weekend.

More than 30 stands will be setting up shop at the Sandringham Food Fair, offering the chance to stock up on interesting and unusual specialities for Christmas, most of which are from East Anglia.

The event is being held on Saturday and Sunday (10am-6pm both days) in a marquee next to the visitor centre and opposite the custom-built ice rink which has opened for the festive season.

A wide variety of merchandise will include anything from local smoked trout and farmhouse cheeses to chocolate fountains and speciality cognacs, as well as home-made fudge and cakes, seafood, charcoal spit-roasted meat, sweets and preserves.

Some of the stalls will be offering food and drink to have at the fair, including coffee, hot chocolate and mulled wine, while others will be selling goodies to take home.

Entry costs £2 for adults and is free for children under 14.

A raffle, with prizes donated by some of the stallholders, will be held to raise funds for Tapping House Hospice at Snettisham.
