A group of travellers have moved on the site of a former Norfolk hotel.
About five vehicles including caravans are in the car park of the Aylsham Lodge Hotel, which closed down late last year.
A spokesman from Broadland District Council said the travellers had been reported to them today (Monday, April 9), and the council was now making efforts to contact the owners of the site.
The spokesman said: 'At the moment we are trying to contact the landowners. It is private property, so we have got to find out what the landowners wish to do.'
The spokesman said the council had left bin bags at the site so the occupants could help keep it clean.
A Norfolk Constabulary spokesman said: 'Norfolk Police are aware of a traveller encampment at the Aylsham Lodge Hotel site and are working with partners, the landowner and their representatives to serve a civil notice.
'Officers will continue to monitor the situation, but are satisfied that no criminal activity has taken place at this stage.'
