People travelling from Norwich into London were facing disruption today because improvements to the Liverpool Street Station have overrun. Engineering works, which were due to be completed on January 1, were still ongoing and no trains were able to enter the station.

The engineering works were originally planned to take 10 days but One railway said they now could not be specific about effects on individual services and advised passengers not to travel unless their journey was important.
